Temporal and Category-Based Price Similarity Network Analysis | Discrete '25 Course Project

In this Discrete Structures project, we modeled the economy of Pakistan as a mathematical network using two years of real-world CPI data. By applying Cosine Similarity on price vectors to model cities as graphs, we proved market stability in the Clothing sector using Hasse Diagrams (Partial Orders) and revealed hidden economic structures, specifically highlighting how Lahore functions as a Volume Hub with high degree centrality while Quetta acts as a Strategic Bridge with high betweenness centrality. The project was implemented using Python, NetworkX, and Pandas.
