02/06/2026 - Wet and Thundery in the North - Afternoon Weather Forecast - Met Office Weather

Persistent, heavy rain swept across much of the country overnight, clearing into the North Sea by Tuesday morning. Scattered showers will linger in the south, while northern Scotland remains unsettled with further spells of persistent rain and the risk of thunder through the afternoon. Across eastern and southern areas, some showers may become heavy, bringing the chance of hail, thunderstorms, and gusty winds. Temperatures will generally reach the high teens across the country, with it feeling a little warmer in eastern parts. - This is the Met Office UK weather forecast for the afternoon of 02/06/2026.
