My Female Bearded Dragon Passed Away...

After several months of health complications, Aussie my female bearded dragon has passed away. We have been constantly going to the vet to try to figure out what has been going on with her. It seems like every time we made some progress, she would get better, than something else would happen and she would be even more sick than the last time.

I am absolutely devastated. I won't lie. I honestly did everything I could to try to fix her and make her comfortable and give her a good life. She was far too young. I hope to soon get some answers and find out the exact cause of her demise and will be making a follow up video to inform other keepers or those who may be interested what happened and signs to look out for and how to treat.

Thank you so much for your support. I currently feel just absolutely empty and feel like I let her down. But I can't quit. I must move on and try to learn more and improve and continue to give my other companions the best quality of life that they deserve.

I hope and would love to meet other Bearded Dragon owners to exchange husbandry ideas and practices and to learn more about the various complications beardies seem to experience and how to help them and help other owners out there keep their companions in the best health possible. I think Aussie unfortunately just had poor genetics perhaps.

I tired to observe her behavior and look out for signs if she possibly needed to lay eggs as I thought that was why she was so bloated, but she didn't exhibit the signs that she was going to lay. Rather I believe her organs were swelling up and ultimately failed on her.

Once I find out what happened I will Share my findings with everyone here on YouTube and other social media. Thank You again and Love your companions and others in your lives unconditionally. Life is short. Far to short.
