La obra Herencia Sonora se erige como un homenaje sincero y respetuoso al maestro Salvador Chuliá, tomando como punto de partida su emblemática creación Tríptico Elegíaco. A partir de algunos de sus temas principales, la partitura despliega un conjunto de variaciones y transformaciones que no solo evocan la obra original, sino que también la reinterpretan, dotándola de nuevas texturas, colores y dimensiones sonoras.
En este diálogo creativo, los motivos de Chuliá se convierten en materia viva que, a través de procedimientos de desarrollo y variación, se entrelazan con nuevas ideas, logrando que la música conserve siempre el guiño y la esencia de su fuente. Así, la obra adquiere un carácter interesante y sugestivo en lo compositivo, pues el oyente descubre cómo, desde la memoria de un lenguaje ya establecido, emergen nuevos paisajes musicales que prolongan y expanden aquel legado.
Herencia Sonora intenta ser una continuidad artística que reafirma la vigencia del pensamiento musical de Salvador Chuliá y su profunda influencia en quienes, desde la admiración y el respeto, desean mantener viva su voz en el tiempo.
A Salvador Chuliá con profundo respeto y sincera admiración hacia su trayectoria, su magisterio y su legado musical, que tanto ha enriquecido la cultura valenciana y universal. Que esta obra sea un humilde homenaje a su ejemplo, a su sabiduría y a su generosidad artística.
Herencia Sonora fue estrenada el día 24 de abril de 2026 en la sala “José Roca” del Conservatorio Municipal José Iturbi de Valencia, a cargo de la Banda del Conservatorio Iturbi bajo la dirección de Vicente Chulià. El concierto tuvo lugar con motivo de la conmemoración del 40º aniversario de la fundación de dicha agrupación, creada en su día por el maestro Salvador Chuliá.

The work Herencia Sonora (Sonic Heritage) stands as a humble and respectful tribute to Maestro Salvador Chuliá, taking as its starting point his emblematic creation Tríptico Elegíaco. Drawing from some of its main themes, the score unfolds a set of variations and transformations that not only evoke the original work, but also reinterpret it, endowing it with new textures, colors, and dimensions.
In this creative dialogue, Chuliá’s motifs become living material that, through processes of development and variation, intertwine with new ideas, allowing the music to always retain the gesture and essence of its source. Thus, the work acquires an interesting and evocative compositional character, as the listener discovers how, from the memory of an already established language, new musical landscapes emerge that extend and expand that legacy.
Sonic Heritage seeks to be an artistic continuation reaffirming the importance of Chuliá’s musical thought and his profound influence on those who, with admiration and respect, wish to keep his voice alive through time.
To Salvador Chuliá, with deep respect and admiration for his career, his teaching, and his musical legacy, which have so greatly enriched Valencian and universal culture. May this work serve as a humble homage to his example, his wisdom, and his artistic generosity.
Sonic Heritage was premiered on April 24th, 2026, at the “José Roca” Hall of the Municipal Conservatory José Iturbi of Valencia, performed by the Conservatory Iturbi Band under the direction of Vicente Chulià. The concert took place on the 40th anniversary of the founding of that ensemble, originally created by Maestro Salvador Chuliá.
