Dana White REACTS to Joshua Van vs Pantoja FIGHT HIGHLIGHTS UFC 323 (Alexandre Arm)
December 6, 2025 — Dana White REACTS to Alexandre Pantoja’s Injury vs Joshua Van at UFC 323 | Full Breakdown, Medical Update & UFC 323 Aftermath
UFC 323 delivered one of the most shocking moments of the year when Alexandre Pantoja suffered a serious arm/shoulder injury just seconds into his title defense against Joshua Van — and now Dana White is giving his full reaction, medical update, and thoughts on what comes next for the flyweight division. #UFC323 #JoshuaVan #AlexandrePantoja
Speaking backstage, Dana revealed that Joshua Van was visibly upset about how the fight ended, even apologizing for the outcome. But Dana made it clear:
“There’s no bad way to win a fight.”
“You won — it is what it is. Things happen in here.”
White also clarified the initial confusion surrounding the injury. While the live broadcast, fighters, and fans all believed Pantoja’s elbow snapped, Dana stated that doctors actually popped Pantoja’s shoulder back into place backstage. He emphasized that ligament damage can be “worse than a break,” and strongly suggested Pantoja won’t return anytime soon — meaning the UFC will likely move forward with another title defense before he’s medically cleared.
Despite the dramatic ending, Dana refused to fault Joshua Van for celebrating:
“It’s a shitty way to lose. There’s no shitty way to win. He won — period.”
Van celebrated the biggest moment of his career, and rightfully so. His throw directly caused the injury, making it a legitimate TKO finish — not a fluke. Still, fans are split, with some questioning the celebration and others demanding an immediate rematch.
As wild as the main event was, the co‑main event was unforgettable for a very different reason. Pantoja, who was building one of the most impressive flyweight résumés ever, now faces a long recovery with no return date in sight — while Joshua Van enters the history books as the second‑youngest UFC champion ever at just 24 years old.
🔥 What do YOU think? Was Joshua Van justified in celebrating? Should the UFC book an immediate rematch once Pantoja heals — or move on with the division?
