How To Negotiate Property Price (2020) | 3 Secret Words
Hey guys in this video I share my 3 secret words that you can use to help you negotiate a better price and ultimately a better deal on your next property.
Usually when trying to get the price lower many people expect the seller to accept their lower offer without providing any reasoning as to how they came to that conclusion.
Thus making your overall offer strength quite weak.
To allow yourself some breathing room before committing yourself to a sale we need to be saavy.
How you ask?
When making your offer make sure to make it clear to the agent that you’d like to offer ‘subject to survey’.
If accepted, this then allows you to mitigate your risk as you wouldn’t have to buy at the price agreed but you are still the only buyer and the at this point the house is usually taken off the market.
This allows you to negotiate much more effectively if your survey came out with a few faults in the property you can go back to the agent and ask for a lower price and it’s much more likely to be accepted.
Not only that the seller is much less likely to reject your offer if you’ve provided strong factual evidence as to why you should be able to buy at a lower price and as time goes on sellers usually become more desperate to sell their property.
It’s all about assessing the situation and reacting accordingly.
I hope this was valuable to you.
