How to Create a RAID Array Using the ARCCONF Utility

Lenovo ThinkSystem RAID x350/x450 Series Adapter Setup Using the ARCCONF Utility

This video series guides you through the entire process of managing storage on ThinkSystem servers with RAID x350/x450 series adapters using the ARCCONF Utility. Step-by-step demonstrations and instructions are provided for:

▶Creating a new array: https://youtu.be/WSglTZthXEE
▶Adding a drive to an existing array: https://youtu.be/PCDtfguSzz4
▶Expanding the logical drive: https://youtu.be/rlodXmTOTl8

In this example, a RAID 5 array is initially created with three 960GB SSDs. A fourth 960GB SSD is later added to expand storage capacity.

☛Important: After expanding a logical drive or RAID array, the additional space must also be allocated to the operating system partition.
• Windows: Use Disk Management or the command-line tool diskpart to extend the partition.
• Linux: Use tools such as lvextend, resize2fs, or xfs_growfs, depending on your file system.
