UN says ‘global plan’ needed after G7 COVID vaccine pledge
The head of the United Nations says more global action is needed to build on a pledge by G7 nations to donate a billion COVID-19 vaccines to poorer countries.
Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is urging the world's richest countries to support equitable, mass vaccination.
The British Prime Minister says the G7 plan will inoculate the world's nearly eight billion people by the end of next year.
