Product Design 1 is a course by IDC, IIT Bombay. The team of Prof V Bapat and Prof Purba Joshi was once again involved in a discussion over a cup of tea. The discussion was leading to a plan of action for the ‘Product Design - 1’ module, a week before the actual scheduled start of the module. Product Design 1 is the first course in design studies in which students are asked to design a product using their learning in previous courses like Elements of Design, Studies in Form, Media Investigation and Methods of Communication. The emphasis of the course is on designing a physical product.
