Wasatch Front homeowners seeing water bubble in basements from oversaturated groundwater

Officials from the Utah Geological Survey said some areas in Utah are experiencing a unique type of flooding where groundwater saturation has caused water to bubble up from beneath the ground, leading homeowners to report incidents of flooding.

Researchers from the UGS are releasing a new map showing groundwater hazard sites on the west side of Salt Lake County, as well as the St. George area and Moab.
