The Modicon TM172SI Secure Interfaces are designed to establish a secure Internet connection, and to connect unsafe devices to a secure Ethernet network.

Two versions are available to perform different types of secured operations, and compatible with existing machines or installations.
•TM172SIP: Plug-in version for M173 Optimized and M172 logic controllers
- to send files to an FTPs server (when related to Secure Interfaces only), to replyto an FTPs client (having an FTPs server)
- to send e-mails to providers using secure encryption algorithms
- to manage SNMP protocol, that allows to exchange Object ID information relating to SNMP protocol in an Ethernet network
- to access the machine via a secure webserver.
•TM172SIG: Gateway version to ensure a cyberSecure connection on M173 Optimized and M172 logic controllers, and On M171 Optimized logic controllers
via the Modbus communication module.

It is possible to create programs within TM172SIp Secure Interfaces that allow the PLC to be able to find variables or parameters in connected devices, and to save
files through micro SD, USB memory key or in the NAND flash memory of TM172SI Secure Interfaces.
The software to program the Modicon M172SI is EcoStruxure Machine Expert HVAC (former SoMachine HVAC).

The EcoStruxure Machine Expert HVAC is free but the user will need to register the software.

In order to program the Modicon M172 you will require a miniUSB cable (TCSXCNAMUM3P or BMXXCAUSBH018) or an ethernet cable.
