Todays FUN walk and FUN talk journey, takes us on a long walk, mostly uphill to some of the Ancient grounds above Sarandë City (Saranda City ) Come explore the amazing scenery as we walk through the hillsides, trying to discover where exactly the Forty Saints Monastery is located. It isn't in the easiest place to find and I need to ask several locals the way to avoid walking more than necessary. The Monastery was erected in the 6th century AD as an Eastern Orthodox place of worship. It was one of the most important pilgrimage sites in the Ionian Sea region. It was bombed during WWII as it was in a strategic location atop the ridge overlooking the bay.

Also at the site are ruins of possibly some cold war bunkers, where they probably used this as a defensive gun placement position, but has since been abandoned. Then I trek towards the Lekursi Castle only to discover several caves on the route. Open your inner child again and breath inside yourself new life. Re awaken passions within again to be curious about life...yourself and start growing all over again!! It starts with finding your inner child again. Check it out!
