Software & Computing Round Table - Detector Simulations
Regardless if we design new detectors or experiments, develop new analyses, or estimate the systematic uncertainties of our measurements, detector simulations are a vital part of our research. In the Software & Computing Round Table in November, we have discussed the path towards next-generation detector simulations in HEP and NP:
0:00:00 Sofia Vallecorsa (CERN) has reviewed “AI/ML for Calorimeter Simulations.”
0:45:29 Cristiano Fanelli (MIT) has discussed “AI/ML for Detector Optimization.”
1:29:38 Makoto Asai (SLAC) has presented "Geant4 in 2030 - A Personal View."
The presentations are available on: https://indico.jlab.org/event/420/#day-2021-11-09
