NSW COVID: Sydney shut out from other states while Northern Beaches residents in lockdown | 7NEWS

Sydney's COVID crisis has deepened and spread but the New South Wales government says Christmas won't be cancelled yet. Victoria's border will close to all of Sydney and the Central Coast, at midnight after the Northern Beaches outbreak recorded 30 new COVID cases. From midnight, anyone entering South Australia from Greater Sydney has to self-isolate for 14 days and undergo three COVID tests. Greater Sydney residents are also no longer welcome into Queensland from 1am after the Northern Beaches cluster dramatically spiked. Western Australia is the only state with a hard border back in place, while the ACT has also imposed fresh travel rules for Sydneysiders.
