Cyber Fraud Case Uncovered in Cuttack: Victim Scammed via Telegram VIP Trading Link

Cuttack DCP Khilari Rishikesh Dnyandeo revealed details of a cyber fraud case involving a victim from Balasore who was duped through a fraudulent VIP trading link received on Telegram. Tempted by promises of high returns, the victim transferred a substantial amount of money in November–December 2024. After the fraudster ceased all contact, the victim filed a complaint. A joint operation with Bhadrak police led to the arrest of the accused and recovery of multiple cheques, 12 ATM cards, 5 SIM cards, and several mobile phones.
