Beyonce Inspired Blonde Braids Tutorial for Sensitive Scalps! | Kanekalon Hair Prep

I actually filmed this during summer but this hairstyle still bangs so finally decided to edit and upload it...

So here it is... My Beyonce inspired luscious long, blonde boho braids.

I also show you guys how I now prepare kanekalon hair before installing it (thanks to this great vid youtube.com/watch?v=uB5CYvOnQ3Q) which really helps prevent the hair from irritating your scalp, especially if your head is sensitive or you suffer with a condition like psoriasis, eczema or dandruff!

Hair used?

X-Pression Ultra Braid in colours: 4, 6, 24 and 27 (1 pack of each)

You don’t need to buy the same hair if it’s not available or you prefer a specific brand, just try and make sure you get a cool and warm blonde as well as a few dark brown shades if you want to recreate this look

I only had 1 pack of each and this hairstyle was probably completed in about 3 1/2 bags, nice and cheap!

I also used-

Agor oil- agorbody.co.uk/products/agor-100-organic-hair-oil-250ml
Tea tree oil
Shea butter
**Apple cider vinegar- I use Biona Organic but I don’t think brand is important. Please don’t skip the ACV step, it doesn’t take long and will make a big difference, especially if you have a sensitive scalp
Itch spray- Jamaican Mango & Lime, Maximum relief mentholated no more itch gro spray
Eco styler gel olive oil maximum hold gel
Moose- Olive Oil Foam Wrap Lotion
Scissors
1x rat tail comb
1 x wide tooth comb
A towel, or 2

How much apple cider vinegar do you use?
I just glug it in so I don't know for sure. In this video I probably used about 2 cups but I used more so I could film in the bath, rather than using a sink. Just get a good glug in there, you should be able to see a greyish foam come to the surface of the water, that's the alkaline solution stripping off, grim!

How long should you leave the hair in the warm ACV solution?
15-20 minutes, doesn't need any longer

How long did the style take to install?
Can’t remember but I did it over a few days and I’m not a fast braider so probably 12+ hours in total
I enjoyed myself listening to music and watching Netflix and spreading it out stops your fingers from seizing up lol
