Curved space is the emperor naked!

“Mass curves space.”
Sounds convincing, doesn’t it?
Until one asks the one question that should not be asked:

What exactly is it that curves?

And then the whole explanation collapses like a cosmic house of cards.
Relativity theory offers no concrete structure that could bend.
No membrane, no fabric, no medium, no field.
Nothing that even in principle could go into a curve.

Space is a metric.
A mathematical object.
An abstract function that tells how distances are calculated.
And when one says that “space curves”, it only means that the numbers in this function table change.

That’s all.
No physical process, no mechanism, no dynamics.
Nothing that would resemble physics.

So if one asks what happens to space during the curvature, the answer is as blunt as a cosmic accountant:

Nothing. Nothing happens. There is no event.

The theory does not even try to pretend otherwise.
It simply says: “The field equations determine the metric.”
And this proclamation is then named “curvature”.

The question “why” or “how” is as foreign to relativity theory as an instruction manual for a black hole.

And when someone tries to save the situation by repeating that “the mass–energy tensor causes the curvature”, it is like claiming that an Excel spreadsheet causes tax refunds.
No, it only calculates them.

The field equations define the metric — they do not describe any physical process that would cause it.
This is a cosmological magic trick where the hat is empty and the rabbit is a mathematical variable.

This is why it is entirely justified to point out that when one asks for a concrete description of what happens to space during curvature, the theory cannot answer.

Not because the question would be naïve, but because the theory contains no event that could be described.

There is only a changing metric — and if someone wants to call that “curvature”, it is a cosmological figure of speech, not a mechanism.
