The actual figures to calculate this vary by region and in actuality cannot reveal when the document was written. Still, even dating the skin of the animal used flexes considerably. Watch as Al Fadi and Dr. Jay illustrate the wide variances of carbon dating when they review the Sana’a manuscript tested at four different labs. Interestingly enough, this manuscript predates Muhammad entirely!
