What if Nemo and Simba Lived Real Lives

If these animals lived the stories we tell our children, the world would look very different.

We grew up with cartoon characters who made us laugh - Finding Nemo with a family, Simba the lion with a destiny, a goofy Shaun the Sheep, a chatty cheeky Bugs Bunny, a sassy Donkey, a bright little Tweety bird.

But in reality their lives look nothing like the ones on screen.

The gap between fiction and reality is the bubble most of us never question:

Fish become "seafood", wildlife is bred and caged for entertainment, rabbits are tested on, donkeys carry impossibly heavy loads, crabs are boiled alive, sheep are shorn and slaughtered, birds are reduced to "poultry."

Living, breathing beings exploited and suffering at the hands of humans.

Somewhere between childhood wonder and adult habit, the kindness we start with gets replaced by convenience.

And that's how we end up in with around 200 million animals being killed every single day for our food, fashion, and entertainment.

Not because people are villains, but because we grow up in a system that normalises harm long before we're old enough to notice it.

But the moment we reconnect the characters we loved with the animals they represent, something shifts.

Plantbased living stops feeling like a demand and starts feeling like a return to the softness, the compassion we're all born with, to who we are.

Wouldn't you want your children to live in a world like that?
