On board a Coney Island bound R160 F train from Jamaica-179 Street to Coney Island-Stilwell Avenue
Seen here is a ride on a F train, operated by R160 with Siemens propulsion, bound for Coney Island via Culver Express.
Due to track replacement, Coney Island bound F train service ran express from 4th Avenue-9th Street to Kings Hwy. Passengers who want bypassing stations would have to transfer at Kings Hwy, 18th Avenue or Church Avenue for a Manhattan bound F train for bypassing stations.
For this ride, I was waiting for an F train to come out of the relay at Jamaica-179 Street, and my wish came true, I got me a Siemens propulsion train coming out of the relay and coming into the station. I know I have many F train rides during my commute travels, however, this was express along Culver, so we were full on towards the way, but with track work made it move too slow along the way. Also, CBTC is officially almost implemented on the F since they have been working on CBTC for the past 4 years, thus trains will be running close on or closed to schedule during rush hour, but for this ride, the T/O was using ATPM during the ride to be more careful since track work was in the way of getting to Coney Island.
I had to move around a little without messing g things up since a Supervisor came in at West 4th Street, so I moved to the side until he got off at Kings Hwy, plus the conductor could’ve used the “Diamond” F train for express service to Coney Island, but since he couldn’t, the closest I got was the normal express service to Coney Island, and I also thought we were going to be express from Jay Street-Metrotech to Kings Hwy , but we were local until we switched over at 4th Avenue-9th Street, where the express happened all the way to Kings Hwy.
In the end, it did return to service and left out of Coney Island, as normal service back to Jamaica.
Enjoy!
