🔧 Tool selection for the installation
🛠️ Steering wheel disassembly and reassembly

Required tools and parts:
-Torx T30, T25
-Spline M12/M18? to unscrew driving wheel
-8mm socket wrench
-I used Threadlocker medium glue on steering wheel screw
-Long and thin T8 for steering column cover (I have modified tool got from castorama)
-Wiring approx. 1m
-Female connector 000979009E - connect to pin no. 5 at black steering wheel connector
-Male connector 000979035E - connect to pin no. 10 at white connector (hidden behind orange one)
-Diagnostic interface and VCDS

When playing with electricity it is always better to be safe then sorry, so disconnect the negative terminal of the battery before disconnecting anything

There are 2 required VCDS codings: 01 Engine and 16 Steering wheel
Troubleshooting Tips:
If you are getting 'Press clutch to start engine' error ( automatic gearbox shows something like put N to start engine or similar) even when pressing clutch it means the white connector is not connected properly. There is a click sound but it does not mean the socket on the other side is connected.
