So Omega just went absolutely crazy with their new releases. My personal favorite is their Seamaster 300 in bronze gold...that thing is NUTS. I also love what they are doing with the sandwich dial. Of course how can we also forget the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M in the legendary black black...

Beyond that though there is so much happening in the watch world! Patek and AP are discontinuing their most famous watches? The 5711 AND the 15202? Why would they do that? Marketing perhaps? Who is to say? What will happen next?! Find out on this episode of Theo and Harris!!

Today, Michael and Christian dive into some horological hot topics!

First up, we have the Bronze Gold Omega Seamaster 300, a new release from the brand that involves a pioneering new alloy of copper, gold, and other noble metals. It's the first Master Chronometer in the Seamaster 300 line, and it's just a wild looking watch. At just over $11k, it's a solid offering, and this new alloy is both hypoallergenic and will patinate in a more interesting way than your typical bronze.

Now onto the AP 15202, which will be discontinued in 2022. It's a cultish watch that you absolutely cannot find in steel, and, much like the Patek 5711, will be replaced in the near future with a newer reference that, likely, will be an incredible timepiece. The problem is really that with the 5711, there's room for change, or for improvement, whereas the 15202 is an impossible watch to beat, and certainly an impossible watch to replace, really. If they can improve it, we'd be blown away, that's for sure.

Onto the second Omega on this list, the 300M Black Black. It's a stupid name, Omega, but the watch itself is great. The texture on the bezel is awesome, and the use of materials is awesome too. However, there is definitely an issue with the kind of person who can pull this watch off. You've gotta be a cool human to pull that off in the Black Black Black Black Black colorway, but if its a watch for you, then it's a great one to have.

And with AP again, we have an updated Offshore Diver with both green and grey variations. The Offshore is a weird watch, in that it's always kind of felt like a weirdly bastardized version of the original Royal Oak it was supposedly an offshoot of, and yet with these two new releases AP has managed to perhaps not strike a balance, but at least come in closer to creating a watch that feels like it belongs in the same family as the Royal Oak as originally designed by Gerald Genta.
