Winter Roads Turn Deadly In Wichita, KS - 12/15/2020

The third winter storm in a week moved across Kansas, adding to the nearly two feet of snow that has fallen in some places in the state so far this month. This storm, the third in less than a week, dumped enough snow in Greater Wichita just in time for the Tuesday evening commute. That snow lead to several wrecks, including a wreck that killed one and injured two others on the north side of the city.

Shot Description

Clips 1-4: Single vehicle rollover in the median of I-135 in Park City. Shots include various zooms of the wreck, including an opening wide shot including Park City water tower.

Clips 5-12: Fatal wreck on I-135 southbound at Mile Marker 18. One person was killed in this wreck. Includes various zooms of the accident scene, including emergency vehicles and the two-vehicle crash.

Clips 13-15: POV driving shots passing fatal wreck on I-135.

Clips 16-17: Blue pickup truck that rolled over after spinning out on the bridge over Oliver on K-254. Vehicle did end up back on its top, but heavy damage to the roof is visible.

Clips 18-19: POV driving shots of an emergency vehicle on the highway as snow falls.

Clip 20: POV driving shot passing two snow plows.

Clip 21: POV driving shot under highway sign of traffic driving in heavy falling snow.
