UN report highlights environmental impacts of AI data centres

The United Nations University Institute for Water, Environment and Health has released a report that examines the environmental impacts of AI data centres. It comes as Prime Minister Mark Carney unveiled his new AI strategy that includes plans for 'large-scale' data centres throughout the country.
