Laserdisc Unwrapping – The Doors (1991) Pioneer Special Edition

As promised, Culturedog Sam Hatch is here again to unwrap some of his newly-acquired sealed laserdisc boxed sets.

Up next is the 1997 Pioneer Special Edition boxed set of Oliver Stone’s controversial rock music biopic “The Doors”.

This THX-approved release contains 2 discs housed within a labyrinthine booklet/slipcover, which itself is housed in an even larger, sturdier slipcover. It contains an AC-3 Dolby Digital track, audio commentary from director Stone, and a decent pile of deleted scenes, documentaries and other bonus features.
