Philippines Returns To RIMPAC With Powerful New Missile Frigate

The Philippine Navy has officially deployed BRP Miguel Malvar and Naval Task Group 84 to Hawaii for RIMPAC 2026, the world's largest multinational naval exercise. The mission marks the Philippines' return to RIMPAC and highlights ongoing naval modernization efforts. For the first time, the Philippine Coast Guard will also participate through BRP Gabriela Silang. The deployment strengthens maritime cooperation and supports a free and open Indo-Pacific.
