Memorial Day Warbird Flyover - Idaho - Warhawk Air Museum P-40 P-51 Boise Nampa

The folks at Warhawk Air Museum in Nampa, Idaho, have always been about honoring veterans and remembering those who gave their lives in service to the United States. For about 15 years, they have hosted a Memorial Day warbird formation flyover around Boise and environs, passing in review over cemeteries, hospitals, and the communities of the region. For 2021, six warbirds -- three P-40 Warhawks and three P-51 Mustangs -- made the route.
Take a look, as we go through arrivals, engine start for the formation, takeoffs, some cockpit cam footage, overhead passes, and landings, with the fabulous sounds of Allisons and Merlins reverberating powerfully. An opening glimpse of Arlington National Cemetery from a recent visit dissolves into the events of the day in Idaho.
The warbirds include Warhawk Air Museum's own two P-40s and P-51C, plus the P-40N 'Suzy' from Lewiston, Idaho, Mark Peterson's P-51 'Diamondback' from Boise, and the newly-painted P-51 'Patty Ann'.
