The successful Moon sample collection by Chang'e 6 was captured on camera. It represents an important turning point in China's lunar exploration efforts. With the help of sophisticated robotic instruments, the spaceship gathered a variety of geological samples for detailed examination on Earth.

The spacecraft's successful liftoff and use of cruise thrusters demonstrate China's expanding capability for space exploration. On June 1st, 2024, China's Chang'e 6 robotic lunar mission made a successful landing on the moon's far side, where it took soil samples from the Apollo Crater's surface and subsurface.

On June 3, the Chang'e 6 ascender module ascended off the lunar surface with the valuable cargo of lunar samples in tow. This was after it finished its sampling missions. The samples are currently on their way to Earth and should arrive in Inner Mongolia's deserts on June 25, 2024.
