HIP MOBILITY EXERCISES FOR BEGINNERS & OLDER ADULTS | Human 2.0

You can also use these beginner hip mobility exercises as a warm up for your workout - if you are going running, lifting weights or doing conditioning of any kind. The best part about these beginner hip mobility exercises? They don't require any gym equipment whatsoever so it's very easy to them almost anywhere - a great home workout. And you should be doing them frequently - at least a few times a week would be ideal. Also, if you do a few sets at one time, you will definitely feel your body opening up more as you go through them, which is really the idea. You can do as many sets as time allows. Doing 2 or three rounds would be a good number to aim for.

Hip mobility exercises are an important part of every person's fitness toolbox. Incorporating these exercises into your programming is key for injury prevention and better health.

When doing any kind of mobility exercise or stretches, expect to experience a little discomfort. No sharp pain, but on a scale of one to 10, your "I really feel this" level should be somewhere between a 6 to 8. To make a change, you need to get uncomfortable.

Having good hip flexibility and mobility is key to functional fitness. You want your body to be as prepared as possible whenever it is put in an awkward position.
