Problem:
DRDO laboratories currently rely on manual and fragmented methods for technology intelligence — analysts spend weeks scanning patents, research papers, and reports to identify emerging trends. This process is time-consuming, inconsistent, and often outdated by the time insights are produced. As a result, DRDO faces challenges in detecting early technological threats, evaluating Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs) accurately, and forecasting future developments in critical defense domains such as AI, hypersonics, and space systems.
Solution:
To overcome these limitations, the proposed AI-based Automated Technology Intelligence and Forecasting Platform integrates Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing to automate data collection, pattern detection, and forecasting from diverse sources like patents, research papers, and market data. The system provides real-time dashboards, automated TRL estimation, and AI-generated reports, empowering analysts to make faster, data-driven strategic decisions.
This platform transforms DRDO’s approach from reactive to proactive, ensuring that India’s defense ecosystem remains technologically ahead, strategically informed, and ready for the future.
