AGOL/Portal - Find which webmaps are using specific feature layer using Notebook

In this video, I demonstrate how to take an item id (in this case a hosted feature layer) and see if it exists in any WebMap in AGOL (or Portal). The idea is to determine dependencies - are any WebMaps using that feature layer as it is to be deleted or replaced. You could change the type to look in Dashboards etc.

I use a standard Notebook where I am already logged onto host platform.

The script only checks operationalLayers, most feature and map layers are typically listed in the WebMap JSON. But you can extend this by adding similar checks for other parts of the WebMap if needed, such as baseMap layers or tables.

Am sure I heard somewhere that identifying dependencies is something coming in AGOL/Portal but I still thought this programmatic approach may be useful.
