Burma Road got many historical memorial, Over the centuries, that various ethnic communities resided along Burma Road and Pulau Tikut, mainly are Eurasian communities.

That where The Church of the Immaculate Conception was established in 1811 by the Eurasians people. Today you won't see much Eurasian anymore there, many are moving to Thailand. Most of the Eurasian people are talented in music. Their free time is to play music instrument for fun and happiness.

I knew a few group, just a joke, many of us learn how to play ukulele, They said we have been playing ukulele since the age of 12 yrs old and now you all just start learn to play. Little bit of the history, originated of Ukulele are from Portuguese unknown date over the century, only later in 1880 it revival again and claim to be Hawaiian musical instrument. It a long history.

Burma Road are famous for some Biscuits shops, many local tourist when they come to Penang for holiday, they definitely come to Burma Road or Macalister Road to buy those biscuits called Tau Sar Piah came with variety of favor. It also a tourist attraction Thai, Burma Temple and etc.
