What is a Matrix?

Matrices are useful data structures that often come up in DSA questions. This data structure is also useful in processing 2-dimensional space, which is used often in tile-based board games.

You can also make 3-dimensional arrays by creating an array in an array in an array. Any array with more than two dimensions does not have a special name and is known as a multi-dimensional array.
