A Bloom of Hope: Flowers After a Wildfire Prophetic Acrylic Painting

A look at the meaning behind my entry for Art Prize 2020, "A Bloom of Hope" or " A Bloom is Coming.
There's often a big bloom of wildflowers after a forest fire has burnt away the large tree tops that prevent sunlight reaching the forest floor. Some plants even require steam, heat, and smoke to propagate. But this painting is also about current events, honoring the loss caused by destruction, but looking forward to all of the good things that needed the stress to grow.

While Art Prize has been cancelled this year,, I still think this painting is important to spreading hope. I don't know if I can enter it again, but it will go on display in other shows! #hope!
