Photos of him with a full beard like in the thumbnail were taken right after he was released from prison where he spent months and was treated unfairly, his beard wasn't like that because he ran mad or anything like that, but that image is what is used by those who say he was crazy to reaffirm and propagate their hate for Fischer.
