Join boats.com and host Marilyn DeMartini for a tour of Twin Vee PowerCat manufacturing facility in Fort Pierce, Florida in this episode of Factory Fridays. Twin Vee has been designing and building American-made catamaran boats for over 26 years, crafting vessels that are known for their safe, reliable twin-hull design that make for reliable, sturdy offshore fishing boats at an affordable price. The brand's 7.5 acre facility totals 80,000 square feet and the boat builder employs around 85 people. The fiberglass for Twin Vee boats is manufactured 100% in-house. The company has created an electric boat division named Twin Vee Electric that is now building electric powercats with the debut model being the 240 Electric center console powered by Twin Vee's proprietary propulsion system with lithium-ion powered electric outdrives.. In addition to building electric powercats, the company is designing and manufacturing their own electric propulsion systems which will be available to other builders for use on their boats through the "Electra Power Sports" name, including their new Electra 215HP electric outboard motor. The aim of Twin Vee Electra and Electra Power Sports is to promote 100% electric, clean on-water adventures and enable boaters experience the power of sustainable boating.
