Iran football team arrives in Mexico after US restrictions
Iran's World Cup journey is already taking a unique route.
Unable to base themselves in the United States because of visa restrictions, the Iranian national team has set up camp in the Mexican border city of Tijuana, from where players will travel in and out of the US for matches during the tournament.
The unusual arrangement has frustrated some supporters, with one fan describing the US government as a “sore loser” for forcing the team into a logistical workaround ahead of the tournament.
