Made a Swappable FLIGHT STICK Controller for my DIY Arcade

The phrase 'Game Changer' is often misused but here it is actually happening.  How else could I play Flight Stick games like 'After Burner' with an Arcade with just Joysticks?  Well..., I made an arcade with changeable controllers.

With budget parts:
Flight Stick is 90's Microsoft Side Winder from Ebay.  I hijacked 2 of its buttons for 'COIN' and 'PLAY' and its USB power for the button LED's.  All built on 12mm MDF.

Overall it was a very straight forward project.  I made the plans as I went along.  Basically just 2 Arcade Buttons and screw the Joystick solid on the MDF.  MDF Primer and couple of coats of Black Paint.  I made some 'Top Gun' themed stickers for the buttons.  Stick some rubber edge protection strips and that's it!

It works well!  Next project is probably a 'RACING WHEEL CONTROLLER' but will have to get a little bit creative for the pedals so stay tuned :)
