How to route data from source to destination in VirtualMetric DataStream (v1.7.1)

Once your devices and targets are configured, you need to connect them. This tutorial shows how to use Quick Routes in VirtualMetric DataStream to define how data flows from a source to a destination — including pipeline assignment for parsing and field mapping.

*What you'll learn:*
- What a route is and how it connects a device to a target
- How to set up a Quick Route using the visual route builder
- How to assign a processing pipeline within a route (e.g. Fortinet FortiGate pack for Microsoft Sentinel)
- How ASIM schema mapping works when routing logs to Sentinel
- When to use Quick Routes vs. Advanced Routes
