Amityville: I Know Who Did It — And It Wasn't just Butch DeFeo

In 1974, six members of the DeFeo family were shot dead in their beds at 112 Ocean Avenue, Amityville. Ronald DeFeo Jr. confessed the same night. Case closed.
Thirteen months later a family fled the same house claiming demonic possession. By 1977 it was a bestselling book. By 1979 a blockbuster film. Today the Amityville franchise is worth over two billion dollars.
Nobody went back to check the facts.
This documentary examines the forensic evidence, the confession that was never what it appeared, the lawyer who built a mythology from intimate knowledge of a family tragedy, and the one person at the center of that night nobody has seriously investigated.
The haunting was never real. What actually happened is worse.
