Do you need to own a firearm before taking the CCW course?

No, you don’t need one to get started. However, you will need a firearm registered in your name before completing your live-fire qualification. For beginners, the in-person class is often the best place to start. We walk through safety basics, the Firearm Safety Certificate process, and what to look for when selecting a firearm.

Once you purchase and become familiar with your firearm, you can schedule your range qualification and complete the process.

Our online and in-person CCW classes are available in Fresno, Madera, Merced, Kings & Tulare Counties.
