In this part-2 video on eukaryotic DNA replication initiation, we discuss the process of origin licensing. This is when cdt1 is recruited by orc6 and cdc6, and helps recruit two double hexamers at the origin of replication. This marks the completion of origin licensing as it moves through pre-replicative complexes. We dive into how all this is established and we also connect origin licensing to the cell cycle dynamics as well.
