Tools for How to Replace a Vessel Sink with a Self-Rimming Sink:
- Putty knife
- Grinder with diamond blade
- Socket wrench
- Allen wrench
- Adjustable wrench

Steps for How to Replace a Vessel Sink with a Self-Rimming Sink:
1. Shut off the water supply service valves and disconnect supply hoses to the faucet.
2. Loosen the compression nuts on drainpipes and disconnect them.
3. Break caulking underneath the vessel sink, using a putty knife to break the connection with the granite countertop.
4. Remove the sink from the granite countertop.
5. Remove the granite countertop.
6. Trace an outline of the new self-rimming sink to the granite countertop. Cut the outline on the granite using a grinder with a diamond blade. (Professional services recommended for this step).
7. Remove the old sink handles from the wall mount by turning the metal escutcheons.
8. On your new self-rimming sink, install the new faucet and the new pop-up drain assembly.
9. Place a bead of caulk around the hole in the granite countertop.
10. Drop the new sink into the wet bead of caulk and hold it in place for a few seconds while the caulk sets up.
11. Attach p-trap and PVC drainpipe connections using your hand, and tighten with adjustable wrench.
12. Attach the flexible supply hoses to the shutoff valves. Turn water valves back on and test it out.
