#TBT ***Memories of Gatecrasher & Crasher Rules***

Crasher Rules, 17 February 2007 - A memorable occasion for all those who attended with the likes of Simon Patterson, Mauro Picotto, Marcel Woods, Randy Katana and Matt Hardwick. This event also signified "The Return of Scott Bond" after a 3 year absence and kept up with tradition by celebrating with one of my acclaimed Gatecrasher closing sets.

A track that I distinctly recall playing on the night was a bootleg called "Martin Roth's Hands On Keane - This Is The Last Time". I would describe it as a dark, electro trance tune with somewhat eerie undertones. Little did I know that it would actually be the last time that I would play at "The Republic" (Gatecrasher One). Exactly 4 months later, the building which was the spiritual home to so many, rich in nostalgia and intimate memories of cherished clubbing experiences, was sadly no more.

I can still remember the venue and architecture through all the many refurbs, like it were yesterday. The music, Plasma, Future, the DJ booths, the VIP area, the balcony, the bars, the cage, the stairs, the lasers, the dress code, but most importantly the people who would come from all over to fill the club. 8 years today, RIP Gatecrasher @ The Republic, Sheffield....
