Joel follows with the knowledge she cannot swim. The strong current carries the two in the direction of a large rock. Joel cushion's Ellie's body with his own, right before impact.

Joel flanks a hostile sniper in the suburbs and stabs the absolute hell out of him in one of the game's most aggressive moments. He then uses the sniper rifle against the hunters and gets sweet, satisfying, revenge on the humvee.

Firefly, Ethan, is given the task of evacuating Joel from St. Mary's hospital. He gets confident, pretty much begs for a violent response. Joel executes him.
