Understanding the OSI model is crucial for network administrators and engineers, as it provides a framework for understanding how different network technologies and protocols work together to enable communication. By breaking down the network communication process into smaller, more manageable layers, the OSI model makes it easier to troubleshoot network issues and design new network architectures.
