The Volvo EX60 Feels Like The FUTURE

I didn’t expect the Volvo EX60 to feel this different.

Yes, it’s fast. Yes, the range in every model is impressive. Yes, it’s loaded with technology (including an 800-volt architecture and a creative use of Gemini AI.) But the most surprising part is the way this car feels.

In fact, I spoke to other reviewers at the launch of the EX60 and after driving it they all said the same thing: this vehicle doesn’t feel like a typical evolution of Volvo. It feels like a ground-up reset with no effort or expense spared - something which took me a moment to get my head around.

Essentially, this new car from Volvo is deceptive. From the outside it looks perfectly normal - some might even say boring, but driving it for a day caused a recalibration (which you can see in real time) of how I perceive Volvo. The only thing we don't know at this stage is how much it'll cost when it lands in New Zealand.

It’s less an "IKEA lounge room" now and more "Sino-Swedish starship with Seated Heats.” 😃
