Illustration Design in Illustrator - Flat Style (Process)

In the first video, I want to share my illustration design process from sketch to finish artwork in Adobe Illustrator. The type of this illustration is flat style and it's very popular on website, landing page, mobile app.

To design this illustration, I start skeching on paper. This step helps you find ideas quickly without too much attention about position, size or color. Next I use Adobe Illustrator to repaint the sketch. Pen Tool is a good tool in this case to outline the sketch. Creating the color palette in the Swatch Option Panel and make sure the global property is selected so you can easily adjust the color later. You can use Shape Builder Tool to merge or slice shape and adjust opacity to create shadows. And finish your artwork with some decoration.
