Sound familiar? That is because this system closely mirrors the Amway compensation plan. A well-established multi-level marketing company known for its emphasis on personal volume, team structure, and override commissions.

Both Melaleuca and Amway:

Reward recruiting over product sales

Pay through multiple levels of downline

Require volume minimums to stay active

Emphasize mentorship and team growth bonuses

Blur the line between customers and business builders

If it functions like an MLM and pays like an MLM, then calling it “referral marketing” does not change the structure.
