US: Ukraine Aid Not "Misused", NATO To Discuss Air Defence After Russian Strikes, Fire In Moscow

A Russian Su-34 fighter jet was lit on fire on Jan. 4 at the Shagol airbase in Chelyabinsk, Russia. Sources told Ukrainska Pravda Ukraine's military intelligence agency (HUR) was behind the “sabotage”. A Dec. 29 missile strike killed 32 people in Kyiv, authorities said, raising the toll of the deadliest Russian attack on the Ukrainian capital. A fire erupted in a substation in Russia's capital on Jan. 4, causing electricity and heating outages in dozens of multi-story buildings. A Russian missile strike against an industrial facility in Kropyvnytskyi on Jan. 4 killed one civilian, local authorities said. Russia and Ukraine have announced their first exchange of prisoners of war for nearly five months on Jan. 4. US National Security Council Coordinator John Kirby said Putin certainly does not “act like a guy who’s willing to negotiate”.
